Basketball Recap: Austin Falls Short of Brownstown Central in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Austin can now relate to. They came up short against the Brownstown Central Braves on Friday, falling 48-23. Having soared to a lofty 67 points in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Austin still got an impressive performance from Brynn Owens, who posted 12 points. That was a full 52.2% of Austin's points, marking the third time in a row Owens has had more than a third of the team's points.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Brownstown Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Austin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brownstown Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-29 victory against South Ripley on the 8th.
