Monterey had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Seaside Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on April 3rd.

Monterey was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-21.

Monterey's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-12. As for Seaside, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Coincidentally, Monterey and Seaside will both be playing Hollister the next time they take the court. The Dores will head out to face the Haybalers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Spartans will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
