Soccer Game Preview: Deer Park vs. Wisdom

The Deer Park Deer will take on the Wisdom Generals at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Deer Park's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Deer Park's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northbrook on Friday. The loss was the Deer's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Wisdom kept a clean sheet against Klein Forest on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Eagles out 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Generals were the better team in the second half.

Having lost for the first time this season, Deer Park fell to 0-1-2. As for Wisdom, they now have a winning record of 1-0.

Deer Park beat Wisdom by a goal when the teams last played back in January of 2018, winning 2-1. Does Deer Park have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wisdom turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
