Football Recap: Somerset Academy South Homestead Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Somerset Academy South Homestead's offense. They were dealt a 37-0 loss at the hands of the Palmer Trinity Falcons on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 46 points in the game before, the Hurricanes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Palmer Trinity's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Manny Coya, who threw for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Rafael Salvatierra was Coya's top target, picking up 16 receiving yards and one TD, while also punching in one score on the ground.

Somerset Academy South Homestead's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Palmer Trinity, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Somerset Academy South Homestead will head out to challenge Moore Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmer Trinity, they will host BridgePrep Village Green at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
