Recap: Leesburg Yellow Jackets vs. Auburndale Bloodhounds
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Leesburg Yellow Jackets had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Auburndale by a score of 29-19. Winning may never get old, but Leesburg sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Auburndale lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaysean Pritchard. Despite the final result, he gained 119 total yards and two touchdowns.
Leesburg has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 9-3 Specially Fit Academy and 7-3 Mount Dora (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60.9% over those games). As for Auburndale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.
Leesburg will head out on the road to face off against Lake Wales at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Wales is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Auburndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
