Baseball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 9-6 to the Rangeview Raiders. If the Commanders were looking for revenge after losing 14-2 to the Raiders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Xavier Benavidez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Kennedy is 4-1 when Benavidez posts two or more stolen bases, but 6-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalani Market, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Rangeview, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 8-14-1 record.

As of now, neither Kennedy nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
