Softball Recap: Hopkins Comes Up Short

Hopkins fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Holy Child on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 9-5 to the Gryphons.

Hopkins' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Holy Child, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hopkins is set to take on their familiar foe Suffield Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Holy Child will face off against rival St. Luke's at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The game will give the Gryphons their first taste of in-conference action this season.
