Recap: Gilmer Buckeyes vs. North Lamar Panthers
The Gilmer Buckeyes won the last time they faced the North Lamar Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Gilmer blew past North Lamar, posting a 49-12 win at home. With Gilmer ahead 35-6 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Will Henderson was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 75 yards and three touchdowns. Ta'Erik Tate was another key contributor, picking up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Gilmer's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. North Lamar's QB won't forget Aron Bell anytime soon given Bell sacked him four times.
Although North Lamar took the loss, they still got scores from Anthony Gordon and Blake Hildreth.
Gilmer's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for North Lamar, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Gilmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Lamar also has no future games currently scheduled.
