Volleyball Recap: Northside Starts off Right with Win over Mather

Northside took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Mather Rangers by a score of 2-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Northside was: they took both sets by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8.

Among those leading the charge was Evy Chan, who had seven aces.

Chan wasn't the only good server: Northside was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Coming up, Northside will square off against De La Salle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mather, they will host Uplift at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
