Football Recap: Macon County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Macon County kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 38-13 to the Southwest Patriots. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Despite the loss, Macon County still got an impressive performance from Jakeyveon Parker, who rushed for 111 yards.

Among those leading the charge was Jonathan Hurley, who threw for 112 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Tkorian 'Drop' Davis helped Hurley out on the ground, rushing for 58 yards and one score.

Macon County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 55-22 defeat against Bowdon on the 22nd. As for Southwest, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 30-8 loss against Northeast on the 22nd.
