Tennessee high school football rankings: Brentwood Academy, Maryville maintain top spots in MaxPreps Top 25

Brentwood, Christ Presbyterian Academy climb after big wins.

Following an impressive 34-18 victory over Clearwater Academy International of Florida over the weekend, Brentwood Academy remains No. 1 in this week's Tennessee MaxPreps Top 25. The Eagles are 4-0 entering their next contest against Father Ryan on Friday.

Against Clearwater Academy International, Brentwood Academy quarterback Taylor Montiel threw for nearly 200 yards and a pair of scores. In addition to the impressive win over the Sunshine State squad, the Eagles have beat two teams in the top five of this week's rankings – No. 4 McCallie and No. 5 Brentwood.

No. 2 Maryville prevailed 14-9 in a rivalry game against No. 8 Alcoa to improve to 4-0. The Rebels haven't lost since November of 2018.

The biggest riser near the top of rankings is No. 7 Christ Presbyterian Academy, which improved to 3-0 with a 28-6 win over Ensworth. The Lions climbed 11 spots over last week.
