Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Bison vs. Woodrow Wilson Bruins

The Liberty Bison will take on the Woodrow Wilson Bruins at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty will be strutting in after a win while Woodrow Wilson will be coming in after a loss.

Liberty was handed a nine-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Aliso Niguel 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bison have posted since March 26, 2024.

Riley Vogt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

On the hitting side, Jake Feidner was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Woodrow Wilson came up short against Capistrano Valley Christian on Saturday and fell 9-6.

Rudy Carlos made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Russell Centanni, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Liberty's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Woodrow Wilson, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
