Volleyball Recap: Omaha Christian Comes Up Short

Omaha Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Nebraska Lutheran Knights. If the Guardians were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-8.

Ruby Colling paced Omaha Christian's offense, picking up three kills. Colling got some help from Iahna Hendrick and her four assists. Katie McDonald controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Omaha Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Nebraska Lutheran, their victory ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.

Looking ahead, Omaha Christian will face off against College View Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nebraska Lutheran, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Elm Creek on the 27th.
