Softball Recap: Treynor Comes Up Short

Treynor was the 5-2 winner over Missouri Valley when they last played one another back in June of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals lost 14-1 to the Big Reds on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cardinals have suffered against the Big Reds since June 14, 2023.

Treynor's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Missouri Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Treynor has already played their next game (against West Harrison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Missouri Valley, they will head out to take on Dallas Center-Grimes at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
