Volleyball Recap: PikeView Comes Up Short

PikeView was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the James Monroe Mavericks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16.

PikeView's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for James Monroe, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4-1.

Looking ahead, PikeView will face off against Bluefield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for James Monroe, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Westside on the 8th.
