Mt. Shasta and Anderson faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Friday. The Bears came out on top against the Cubs by a score of 6-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-3 two weeks ago.

The team relied heavily on Kaira Rekhi, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. Isabelle Danel was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

The victory snapped Mt. Shasta's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-7 record. As for Anderson, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-3-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mt. Shasta beat the Cubs by a score of 10-0 later that day.
