Basketball Recap: West Boca Raton Takes a Loss

West Boca Raton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 43-34 to the Spanish River Sharks. The Bulls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Leading Spanish River to victory were Trevor Cummings and Edens Dortelus. Cummings posted nine points, while Dortelus earned eight points. Another player making a difference was Eddy Lui, who put up five points.

West Boca Raton's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Spanish River, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-6.

West Boca Raton will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Olympic Heights at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Olympic Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63 points per game this season. As for Spanish River, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-34 win against Inlet Grove on the 11th.
