Basketball Recap: Ola's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Ola didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Stockbridge Tigers with a sharp 64-44 win on Tuesday. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ola to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matin Bello, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Bello is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Clark, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 12 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Stockbridge lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jason Brookins, who posted seven points and seven rebounds. Ashton Poole was another key player, putting up nine points.

The victory was the third in a row for Ola, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Stockbridge, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Ola wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-48 defeat against Alcovy on the 5th. As for Stockbridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-43 loss against Hampton on the 6th.
