Volleyball Recap: Clairemont Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Clairemont lost against Mira Mesa on October 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chieftains fell just short of the Marauders by a score of 3-2.

Clairemont took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 24-26, 13-25, 25-14, 15-11.

Leading Mira Mesa to victory were Camille Collado and Kalilea Popperwill. Collado had 26 digs and 12 assists, while Popperwill had ten kills, nine digs, and two aces. Those 12 assists gave Collado a new career-high.

Clairemont's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 18-20. As for Mira Mesa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Clairemont nor Mira Mesa have any future games scheduled.
