If Stivers School for the Arts wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Dunbar, they should've done a better job of containing Donisha Davis. The Wolverines enjoyed a cozy 57-39 victory over the Tigers on Wednesday with plenty of help from Davis, who almost dropped a triple-double with 20 points, 23 boards, and nine steals. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 38 games she's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Aunesty Ramey, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine steals. She is becoming a predictor of Dunbar's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 6-9 when she doesn't).

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mi'Kiah Gillis, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. That was a full 35.9% of Stivers School for the Arts' points, marking the fifth time in a row Gillis has posted more than a third of the team's points. Aaliyah Bozeman was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Dunbar's record is now 11-9. As for Stivers School for the Arts, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Coming up, Dunbar will face off against Shroder Paideia Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Stivers School for the Arts, they will square off against Thurgood Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
