Football Game Preview: Northeast Academy vs. Lawrence Academy

Northeast Academy have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Lawrence Academy at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close contest.

Northeast Academy took their game against Bethel Christian Academy two weeks ago by a conclusive 58-34 score. No one put up better numbers for Northeast Academy than senior JT Simmons, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 282 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Lawrence Academy lost to Halifax Academy, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-38. Lawrence Academy were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-30.

Northeast Academy's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Lawrence Academy's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Northeast Academy can add another positive mark to their record or if Lawrence Academy can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Northeast Academy's step.
