Basketball Recap: Slaton Takes a Loss

Slaton has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 69-51 bruising from the Shallowater Mustangs on Friday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 58-55.

Slaton's defeat dropped their record down to 22-6. As for Shallowater, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Slaton will welcome Muleshoe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shallowater, they will face off against Idalou at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Idalou has won five straight at home, while Shallowater won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
