Bowsher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 77-50 defeat at the hands of the Maumee Valley Country Day Hawks. One positive for the BlueRacers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Maumee Valley Country Day's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeybrehm Price, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Keeran Stokes, who went 10 of 16 on his way to 23 points and four steals.
Bowsher's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Maumee Valley Country Day, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Bowsher will venture away from home to face off against Springfield at 7:15 p.m. on December 28th. As for Maumee Valley Country Day, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-57 victory against Cardinal Stritch on the 21st.
