Basketball Recap: Old Forge Beats Mountain View for Their Third Straight Victory

Old Forge waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 63-44 win over the Mountain View Eagles. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Eagles are ranked 643rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Old Forge had a senior duo take command as Logan Fanning went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points and six assists and Cameron Parker shot 50% from the field to rack up 14 points and six boards. Fanning has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 45% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Robby Solfanelli, who posted 11 points.

Old Forge was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Old Forge's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Mountain View, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13.
