Softball Recap: Homer-Center Takes a Loss

Homer-Center and Claysburg-Kimmel squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Homer-Center had to settle for second. They lost 11-2 to the Bulldogs. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Homer-Center saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bekah Marshall, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Homer-Center's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, the win keeps they at an undefeated 23-0.

Homer-Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, they will face off against Purchase Line at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Dragons have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
