Basketball Recap: Jackson Comes Up Short

Jackson lost to Jasper County back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils fell 55-44 to the Hurricanes. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Jackson lost, don't look at Jacen Hamm. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Hamm is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 58% in the last three games he's played. Amarion Watson was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Jasper County, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7.

Jackson and Jasper County will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Red Devils will square off against rival Rutland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jasper County is set to challenge their familiar foe Southwest Atlanta Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
