Baseball Recap: Killian Takes a Loss

Killian lost to Columbus back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars came up short against the Explorers, falling 14-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since May 1, 2025.

Jordan Scantlebury and GianMichael Cueto stepped up to the plate in a big way. Scantlebury went 1-for-4 with one home run, while Cueto went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Cueto has hit this season.

Killian's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Columbus, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Killian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-8 victory against Mater Lakes Academy on the 9th. As for Columbus, they have also already played their next matchup, an 8-1 win against Sunset on the 6th.
