Baseball Game Preview: Mulberry Yellowjackets vs. Western Yell County Wolverines

Mulberry and Western Yell County are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Yellowjackets will face off against the Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mulberry has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mulberry lost 17-1 to Magazine on Friday.

Meanwhile, Western Yell County fell victim to Magazine and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Rattlers, falling 17-0.

Mulberry's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4. As for Western Yell County, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-16.

Everything went Mulberry's way against Western Yell County in their previous meeting back in March, as Mulberry made off with a 26-11 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
