 The Kellam Knights will head out on the road to  square off against  the Cox Falcons  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Kellam is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.
Kellam is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Virginia's top teams: Ocean Lakes, who was ranked 22nd  at the time (Kellam was ranked tenth). The Knights had just enough and edged out the Dolphins  3-2 on Tuesday.
 Kellam had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22,  15-5.

 Kellam's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Emmie Irving led the charge by  getting seven  digs and three  aces. That's the most  aces  Irving has posted  over her last six  matches. The team also got some help courtesy of  Giulia Alison, who  had 17  digs.
Meanwhile, Cox got the win against Green Run  on Tuesday by a conclusive  3-0.
 Cox got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-10,  30-28.
 Kellam's record now sits at 16-3. As for Cox, their record is now 16-5.
