Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Pike Liberal Arts

Pike Liberal Arts had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats.

Alissa Barron made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Barron was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Allie Booth was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Camryn Brown was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

The victory got Pike Liberal Arts back to even at 6-6. As for Trinity Presbyterian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Coming up, Pike Liberal Arts will face off against Saint James at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they will challenge Billingsley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Trinity Presbyterian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Billingsley has averaged an impressive 11.5 runs per game this season.
