Softball Game Preview: Grand Terrace Titans vs. Jurupa Hills Spartans

The Grand Terrace Titans will square off against the Jurupa Hills Spartans at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Jurupa Hills took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Grand Terrace, who comes in off a win.

Grand Terrace barely beat Citrus Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Titans blew past the Blackhawks 11-2 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Jurupa Hills entered their matchup against Summit on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Spartans came up short against the SkyHawks, falling 11-2. Spartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the SkyHawks since on Friday.

Grand Terrace has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.1 runs on average over those games. As for Jurupa Hills, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Grand Terrace couldn't quite get it done against Jurupa Hills in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 13-8. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
