After losing to Chester the last time they met, Burney decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Burney Raiders took down the Chester Volcanoes 28-12 on Friday.

Kyle Noah was his usual excellent self, rushing for 77 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 54 yards and two touchdowns. Casey Von Schalscha also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Burney wouldn't let Chester keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. Cisco Chacon was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance. Burney got some further help from Jessie Gemmill: he picked up two sacks and made four total tackles.

Despite the loss, Chester saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kevin Hughes picked up 64 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Hughes didn't just play on offense: he also made seven total tackles and defended a pass.

Burney's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Chester, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Burney has already played their next matchup, a 54-32 loss against Big Valley on the 8th. Chester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
