Muscle Shoals lost a close one when they played on Friday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Saturday was a bit more commanding. They fell victim to a tough 10-4 defeat at the hands of the West Limestone Wildcats. Muscle Shoals has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For West Limestone's part, the team relied heavily on Lilly Bethune, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Birdsong, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Muscle Shoals' loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-7. As for West Limestone, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 25 games, which provided a nice bump to their 34-7-3 record this season.
