Baseball Recap: Webutuck Comes Up Short

Webutuck extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Monday, dropping them down to 0-2. They came up short against the Rhinebeck Hawks, falling 12-2. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

As for Rhinebeck, the victory got them back to even at 1-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Rhinebeck's part, Dean Pendergast was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with six stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two hits gave Pendergast a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Haag, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Coming up, Webutuck will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Millbrook at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rhinebeck, they are taking a road trip to square off against Pine Plains at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
