Volleyball Recap: Burlington Finds Home Court Redemption Against Wakefield Memorial

There's no place like home for Burlington, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Wakefield Memorial Warriors 3-0 on Thursday. The Red Devils not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 31, 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-18.

Daksh Shah paced Burlington's offense, picking up six kills. Shah got some help from Asa Gans and his 17 assists. Emmanuel Mendoza controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Burlington's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Wakefield Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Burlington will head out to take on Arlington at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wakefield Memorial, they will welcome Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
