Basketball Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

Hoover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 64-57 to the Lincoln Hornets. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by exactly seven points.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Lincoln, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.

Hoover and Lincoln could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Hoover will take on Santiago at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday down 490 places (636 vs. 146). Similarly, Lincoln (ranked 630th) will meet Fairmont Prep (ranked 141st) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
