Baseball Recap: Ridge View Takes a Loss

Ridge View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 19-0 to the Blythewood Bengals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bengals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Ridge View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Blythewood, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4.

Looking ahead, Ridge View will square off against Sumter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gamecocks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Blazers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Blythewood, they will take on Lexington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bengals 2.4, the Wildcats 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
