Shades Valley lost a heartbreaker to Oxford when they met back in February of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Shades Valley Mounties took a 65-49 bruising from the Oxford Yellow Jackets. The Mounties' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Shades Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Oxford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Shades Valley will square off against Pell City at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oxford, they will challenge Shades Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
