Volleyball Preview: Harnett Central Trojans vs. Cape Fear Colts
The Harnett Central Trojans are on the road again on Monday to play the Cape Fear Colts at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Harnett Central narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Overhills 3-2.
Harnett Central took Overhills into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-16, 25-15, 22-25, 15-13.
Meanwhile, Cape Fear entered their tilt with Seventy-First on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Falcons as they made off with a 3-0 win.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-18, 25-13.
Cape Fear was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 12 consecutive matchups.
