Baseball Recap: Reavis Rams vs. Hillcrest Hawks
Reavis came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Hillcrest Hawks as they made off with a 17-0 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Jason Gustafson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, Tino Villagomez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played.
