Baseball Recap: Buckeye Takes a Loss

Buckeye was the 8-1 winner over Holy Savior Menard when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-5 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Buckeye and nudges their season record down to 17-6. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Holy Savior Menard, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Buckeye has already played their next match (against Bunkie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Holy Savior Menard, they will venture away from home to take on Kinder at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
