Volleyball Recap: Sabetha Takes a Loss

Sabetha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silver Lake Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11.

Jaylie Whitehead was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had eight digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last 18 contests.

Sabetha's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21-1. As for Silver Lake, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 30-1.

Sabetha didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Eudora on the 4th. As for Silver Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hays on the 4th.
