Pasco is a perfect 4-0 against Fivay since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will host the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Pasco's victory against Zephyrhills wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Bulldogs on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted against the Bulldogs since March 1, 2022.

Abigail Grubbs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Morgan Montelongo was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fivay). They blew past Bishop McLaughlin Catholic 23-7 on Wednesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Like Pasco, Fivay also got a great game from a two-way player: Danna Sleeman. She struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Sleeman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Abby Wojcik and Janie Badu did most of the damage at the plate: Wojcik went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs, while Badu went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. Wojcik has been hot recently, having also posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Sofia Torres Gutierrez was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Fivay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .737. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Fivay's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Pasco, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
Pasco took their victory against Fivay in their previous matchup back in April of 2018 by a conclusive 17-2 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
