Basketball Preview: North Florida Christian Eagles vs. St. John Paul II Panthers

North Florida Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the St. John Paul II Panthers at TBD on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-32, which was the final score in North Florida Christian's tilt against the Cowboys on Tuesday. North Florida Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-19.

Meanwhile, St. John Paul II's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Maclay 47-20.

St. John Paul II's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aliyah Medrano, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, and Ixel Rodriguez who scored seven points.

North Florida Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for St. John Paul II, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

North Florida Christian strolled past the Panthers when the teams last played back in January by a score of 37-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Florida Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
