Softball Recap: Blazer Comes Up Short

Blazer fell victim to Wheelersburg and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The game marked the first time this season in which the Tomcats were not able to get on the board.

Blazer has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Wheelersburg, the win keeps they at an undefeated 15-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blazer will venture away from home to face off against East Carter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Tomcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wheelersburg, they will head out on the road to challenge Waverly at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
