After losing to Waccamaw the last time they met, Socastee decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Braves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Warriors on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Braves have won by just one run.

Jace Crowther was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Gavin Hartas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Socastee and bumps their season record up to 5-18. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Waccamaw, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Looking ahead, Socastee will take on East Clarendon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Waccamaw, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Philip Simmons at 6:00 p.m.
