Recap: Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes vs. Mansfield Legacy Broncos
The Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes can now show off 17 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Mansfield Legacy, posting a 79-35 win at home. Given Duncanville's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Mansfield Legacy is ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Duncanville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Makenzie White out in front who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Coleman, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Duncanville pushed their record up to 23-4 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Mansfield Legacy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.
Duncanville will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mansfield Legacy, they will head out on the road to square off against Mansfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Mansfield and three for Mansfield Legacy.
