Basketball Game Preview: Chardon Hilltoppers vs. Riverside Beavers

The Chardon Hilltoppers will head out on the road to take on the Riverside Beavers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Chardon had to suffer through a 78-48 loss at the hands of Mayfield. The contest marked the Hilltoppers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Riverside was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 75-69 to University School.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Chardon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Chardon might still be hurting after the 85-61 loss they got from Riverside in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Riverside's Drew Brown, who went 7 for 10 to rack up 19 points and six assists.
