Asheboro strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Providence Grove Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win. The Blue Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

While Asheboro won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 25-11.

Cora Little paced Asheboro's offense, picking up 13 kills. Little were helped by Eva Vuncannon and Kailey Brown, who contributed 19 assists each. Brown was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Asheboro's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Providence Grove, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
