Volleyball Recap: Versailles Comes Up Short

Versailles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boonville Pirates. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Boonville scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17.

Versailles' loss dropped their record down to 4-15-2. As for Boonville, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Versailles didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Eldon on the 9th. As for Boonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Marshall on the 9th.
